The layout of the farm is idyllic. The centerpiece is our huge heated swimming pool and separate heated toddler’s pool. The pool area is safety fenced and has loads of pool toys, a playpen for babies, sun loungers and chill-out beds for sleepy parents or kids! There’s an honesty bar at the pool with beer and soft drinks available all day and a separate, slightly secluded, spa area where our therapist offers relaxing massage and beauty treatments.
Part of the pool area is in the shade of beautiful 100-year-old chestnut trees which completes the setting for blissful summer (or spring or autumn) days or cooling off after a day out.
In front of the Old Dairy is our bar and shop with its pretty outdoor terrace, which is a popular spot for mixing. For quieter contemplation, relaxation or simply taking in the natural beauty of the surroundings, day or evening, there are lots of other outdoor seating areas and terraces around the grounds of the farm. Take a stroll to our magical grotto where you can explore and play down in the small river and under the waterfall, if you are brave! Your kids will also love to visit our petting farm where they will make four-legged friends with the sheep, horses, donkeys, lamas, chickens, goats, rabbits and more. Feeding sessions every morning with Stuart are great fun – for parents too!
We have created an environment to suit all the family. Mum and dad can relax by the pool or sit on their private terrace with a good book and a glass of wine. Little ones can play and be cared for in the crèche, and big kids can make pals and safely play on the adventure climbing frames, jump on the trampolines, play boules or table tennis, or just wonder around looking at the animals and exploring the grotto. There are no cars and the grounds have been child-proofed, so parents can really switch off and let the kids enjoy their freedom.
