Stuart and Tracey Scher moved from London to Southern France in 2004 to raise four kids. Stuart ran his own market research business in the West End and Tracey was a solicitor in the City. The fresh country air was good for all, and the Schers wanted to share their joie de vivre. In 2005, they opened Country Kids.
Nearly a decade later, our team consists of 15-20 staff made up of managers, crèche staff, Kids’ Club staff, babysitters, housekeepers, gardeners, a chef, a concierge, yoga instructors, aestheticians and massage therapists. While we’ve made this a 5-star luxury family resort, we’re still a close-knit team that thrives in this intimate and exclusive setting.
Our staff have been recruited chiefly by word-of-mouth. Most of our staff have been with us for years. Together, we can guarantee the best family holiday you’ve ever experienced. That’s why 70% of our guests rebook, year after year.
As of December 2015 Tracey and Stuart passed Country Kids on to a lovely french family. The new owners Laure & Sylvain Neveu worked for many years in hospitality industry. The Neveu’s family includes two young children, Mila & Emy. They know what parents need and are excited to carry on the Country Kids concept..
