Pony-riding & Horse-riding
Just down by the lake, this is nice and close and perfect for younger kids. Madeline will take them through getting the ponies ready and give them a lesson; for older kids there are also a few fun games. You are more than welcome to walk with your children if you feel they will be happier.
There are many walks and hikes throughout the region. There are pathways suitable for all ages and all levels. Explore the region to find a great place to go with kids.
Canoeing through extraordinary south of France scenery. Spend a few hours on Lac du Salagou or on a 12 km descent into the gorges of St Guilhem Le Desert.
Tennis / On-site
We have a tennis court. Rackets and balls are provided. Get on the court whilst we watch your kids. Tennis pro Didier is available to teach private lessons for any age at any level.
Lake & river swimming
The Languedoc is full of lakes and rivers in tranquil and stunning locations where you can relax and cool off on a hot summer day, maybe with a picnic or combined with a cycle or hike.
Trout fishing is very popular. We have the perfect place for kids and adults where a catch is almost guaranteed. a charming spot for a lovely outing with the kids, with the added delight of bringing back lunch / supper. And don’t worry – they will clean and gut your catch before you leave! There are also wood-burning barbeques for your use at the river.
For more serious adult fishermen, there is excellent lake and river fishing too.
You can take out a pedalo on the beautiful Lac du Salagou just down the road. They even have slides for added fun. Take a picnic along for a great day out.
You’ll be in excellent hands. Sylvain, Joseph or Max will kit you out and skillfully guide you through some of the most beautiful sceneries of our region.

Animal feeding / On-site
Be sure not to miss the daily animal feeding sessions at Country Kids farm . Help Farmer Syl’ with his smelly friends. Collect your own eggs. If you’re good, we’ll all go for a tractor ride.
Trampolining / On-site
We have a huge trampoline with safety nets, ladders and a mesh skirting to stop the little ones from sneaking underneath. Nestled in the shade next to our mini golf, they provide hours of fun.
Mini-golf / On-site
We have a brilliant 9-hole mini golf course, complete with bridges, tunnels and other fun obstacles. This is made for whole-family fun. Are you up for the challenge ?
Pony-riding & Horse-riding
Horse and pony riding can be organised for ages 3 and up at all levels. For experienced riders, there are beautiful routes. We’ll arrange an experienced monitor to accompany you.
Enjoy a fantastic experience in the trees. This is suitable for kids and adults. Climbing courses ranging from starter levels 1.5m high to a daredevil 35m high course.
Rock-climbing & Tyroleans adventure
From first timers to experienced climbers, this fantastic course on the Larzac Plateau is an unforgettable experience. Mickaël and Sabine will show you through the ropes – literally! And when you’re ready to go, enjoy the fantastic views as you climb and abseil. Younger kids are free to charge around underneath. You’re also very near to a beautiful medieval village called the Couvertoïrade which is well worth a visit.

Vineyeard visits & Wine-tasting
The Languedoc is the largest wine producing area in France. Why not visit a cave or two and enjoy the local varieties. On-site wine tasting happens weekly in our Summer Season and by arrangement the rest of the year.
Road trip in 2CV
A romantic road-trip around the lake or into the hills with Denis, the chauffeur of this mythical French biscuit-tin. We’ll give you a basket of goodies for any pit-stops…
Mountain and road biking
There are plenty of opportunities to bike around the south of France. This activity is great for the whole family. Bikes, babyseats and helmets are provided. For the serious cyclist, we have a full-carbon road bike available to use. Why not check out the routes and times on www.strava.com, www.ridewithgps.com and www.mapmyride.com.
Horse rides can be organised for all levels, including beginners. For experienced riders there are some really beautiful routes and we’ll arrange an experienced monitor to accompany you.
A marvelous way of discovering the area without too much effort. You can pick up the bikes at the Relais Nautique Vailhès for a trip around the lake, or up in a village called St Jean de la Blaquière for a cycle through vineyards.
For those of you who cannot bear to be away from the green for too long, don’t worry. There are two courses within 45 minutes. Lessons with an English-speaking pro are available.
