A Warm Spring Day at Country Kids in the south of France

What is a typical day like during a springtime self-catered family holiday in the south of France?

Days are sunnier and a little warmer in the south of France. Almond trees blossoms and swallows return. The air will be filled with lavender and thyme. People go on longer walks, bike rides and seaside picnics. Village merchants prepare for warm-weather markets and festivals. Country Kids welcomes mums, dads and kids to days filled with activities for the whole family.

It’s a warm sunny Friday, a busy spring break day between Passover and Easter. After nearly a week of fun-filled activities for infants, toddlers, young kids and even older kids, and indulgent downtime for parents, our staff host a PJ party for children so mums and dads can have a lie-in.

Each day at Country Kids, parents are free to do whatever you want while your kids enjoy…

7:00 a.m.  Familiar childcare staff host a PJ party to give parents more time to snuggle.

Eventually kids come back to meet their well-rested parents breakfast in bed.

9:30 a.m. The farm bell invites kids of all ages to help care for warm, friendly animals.

10:00 a.m. Kids Club has an Easter-Mini-Olympics, followed by followed by transport day.

Children make airplanes, make junk box trains and play the car wash game.

In the afternoon, Kids Club hosts an Easter egg hunt—fun for any-aged child.

10:00 a.m. Big Kids Club—the club for 6-12-year-old children—hosts a badminton battle.

Big kids make creative comics, participate in a drawing contest or play football.

4:30 p.m. This is tea time, a time to recover from your relaxing and meetup with your kids.

4:45 p.m. Kids have rehearsed an adorable play all week. It’s time to perform for parents.

5:00 p.m. Mums, dads, kids, babies and staff members gather around the shop for a BBQ.

6:00 p.m. Kids dance all night—or at least until bedtime—at a delightful disco just for them.

9:00 p.m. Games of boules begin as parents wander back over with baby monitors in hand.

Imagine how fast the kids must’ve fallen asleep after such a full day. Imagine how relaxed the parents must’ve felt after nearly seven days of a family holiday resort that values relaxation for parents just as much as it values fun for kids. Imagine how you’ll feel after a day like this one.

As you can see, when kids have so much fun they fall right to sleep at night, parents have more time to not only relax and rejuvenate during the day, but also spend quality time together into the night. At Country Kids, we feel paradise for kids absolutely must include heaven for parents.
