Country kids is the perfect place for adventure loving families. We are placed deep within the southern French countryside, nesting above a little place called the Salagou valley. The valley itself has a huge shimmering lake, surrounded by extinct volcanoes of bright red soil. This is in contrast to our little lush green hillside retreat which is surrounded by ancient oak trees and rolling green fields.
It’s a nature lovers paradise. Hiking, road biking, water sports, mountain/e-biking, fishing, rock-climbing, off roading, horse riding…you get the idea. If you’re looking for a stress-free family adventure into the French countryside, then Country Kids resort is the destination for you.
It all starts on our 30 Acre estate. It’s a gated safe and secure environment dotted with onsite amenities such as tennis court, trampoline, climbing frames, zip wires, sandpits and of course, our petting farm. Kids can run free enjoying the great outdoors with their new best friends, while mums and dads relax by our huge open-air pool or in the comfort of an armchair under the shade of the plane trees at our open-air bar.

We have mapped and signed hiking trails leaving from our front gates which give you the chance to go for either a pre breakfast run up to a sunrise view of the lake or an afternoon ramble down in to the rich red Salagou valley via an 11th century ruined chateau. You’ll be back in time for an apero at tea time!

Each one of family ready accommodations has a private outdoor terrace, making al fresco family dining possible at every mealtime. But if you fancy finding a quiet little cove down by the lake, we can give you the map, the towels, blankets and pack a gourmet picnic feast for the whole family.
For more adventurous families, there’s no end to the activities you can have together. Take an electric boat out onto the lake. Dive head first into the Gorges of the Hérault during a day out canyoning. Traverse tree top walkways or zip from plateau to plateau at one of the outdoor adventure parks. We can organise all of these activities for you, including a reservation at a perfect little bistrot nearby for a family lunch afterwards.
