We have spent many happy hours there with our two kids, climbing the rocks and swimming the inlets while soaking up the sun-drenched scenery.

Country Kids Resort is on the grounds of our exclusive private estate called Le Mas Pandit, which is in the village of Octon, in the Occitanie region. This part of France is a real hidden gem and is rich in its history traditions and culture. It has a thriving tourist trade, but mainly with the French, as they understand it’s true value. Absolutely. Country Kids is perfect for multi-generation holidays. Grandparents, parents and little ones can all spend wonderful time together, but there’s also plenty of space for everyone to relax in their own way. Whether it’s joining the kids for swimming, a bike ride around the grounds or a ride on the tractor to the petting farm, or simply unwinding with a spa treatment or a quiet book by the bar, everyone finds their own rhythm.

And when you feel like exploring as a group, you can enjoy tennis, table-tennis, family football and rugby, bike excursions into the countryside or visits to nearby markets and charming villages.

The Farmhouse is the perfect accommodation if you are bringing Granny and Grandpa as there is a double bedroom and bathroom on the ground level whilst the main family accommodation is upstairs.

The Old Dairy Apartment 1 is on the ground floor and works well too. There are two bedrooms with double beds. Plus a twin bedroom for the kids.

We know family life can be unpredictable and plans sometimes need to change. If you ever have to cancel or to adjust your plans, don’t worry. Just send us a quick written message.

Our cancellation terms

If cancellation is confirmed, here’s how it works:

• More than 9 weeks before your arrival date :
  If we’re able to resell your week, we refund everything you’ve paid, keeping only a €300 cancellation fee.
• Within 9 weeks of your arrival date :
  The full cost of the stay still applies. However, we will always make every effort to resell your week.

Our goal is simple: avoid any loss as much as possible for you and us.

Over the years, we’ve always found fair, kind and personalized solutions when unexpected situations arise. You’ll never be just a booking number, and you’ll always speak with real people, Laure and Sylvain.

While our terms provide a clear framework, our approach is always human and flexible.

Our check in time is 4 pm, but if you arrive before in the afternoon you will be able to roam in the garden and make the best use of the pool. We recognize that it is probably easier for you to come straight to Country Kids and let the kids play here than to look for somewhere to hang about after a long journey.

Before you arrive, we will ask what time you expect to arrive so that we can do our best to have your accommodation ready for you whatever time you arrive. (departing guests permitting).

Also, as we do not offer lunch service on Saturday, we suggest you to have lunch before arriving at Country Kids. In the village of Octon (10 min drive from Country Kids) there are some nice restaurants.

The weather is one of the few things out of our control, but summer days are usually warm and glorious although be prepared for the odd flash storm to clear the air. In Spring you might need warmer clothes for some days and for the mornings and evenings, but the pool is always heated so you will always be able to swim.

Restaurants are mostly casual but there are a few nicer ones where you would not look out of place in special outfit.

if you don’t want to wear more than shorts and jeans that is also fine and don’t forget to bring trainers for your off-site activities/tennis.

Also, included in your holiday, there is a weekly washing and ironing service per family. All apartments have a washing machine as well as iron and ironing board. We always provide a free clothes drying service if the sun isn’t doing its job.

The very closest village to us is Brenas and it is tiny, perfect for a stroll but not a shop in sight so you can go without your wallet!

Octon is a 10 minutes drive and there you will find a small village grocer, a post office, two cafés and restaurant.

20 minutes drive are the larger towns of Bedarieux and Lodeve where you will find shops, supermarkets and restaurants.

Clermont L’Herault is 25 minutes drive and has one of the largest weekly markets in the area.

While we’re tucked away in peaceful countryside, we’re only a short drive from lots of wonderful places. Having a car gives you the freedom to explore the local area at your own pace, whether it’s taking the kids pony riding, tree climbing, or wandering around one of the nearby markets.

Even if you don’t plan to drive much, many guests tell us they appreciate the flexibility of having their own vehicle rather than relying on taxis. which can be hard to find and a little unpredictable in our rural area. We’re always happy to arrange a private transfer for your family from the airport to Country Kids. However, we generally recommend renting a car during your stay, and most of our guests do.

If you prefer not to drive for any reason, that’s absolutely fine. Just get in touch with us and we’ll help organize an easy alternative. And if your curiosity takes you a little further, we work closely with local vineyards and will be very happy to arrange a private visit and tasting at a nearby wine estate for you. From discovering wines onsite to exploring the region’s vineyards, everything can be organised effortlessly.

We have helmets and bikes with one baby seat available for guests use. We have a full carbon road bike available, and guests can bring their own pedals to put on it if they wish to. The pony school and horse-riding instructors have riding helmets for you so you don’t need to use up valuable packing space on these items!
