Being enveloped in the beauty of nature is liberating. From the moment you set foot in our car-free, gated and fenced environment, you can switch off and relax. Take your time to explore the plethora of nature in our grounds, or venture a little further and experience Occitanie, the hidden gem of rural France.
Our estate, called Le Mas Pandit, is set among three mountainous national parks, ideal to release your inner explorer. Take a hike in the countryside to discover picturesque streams, historic ruins, and vibrant flora and fauna. Clamber over rocky outcrops and take a dip in refreshing inlets as you soak up the sun-drenched scenery.
2. Wildlife Spotting and Birdwatching
Prepare to be bewitched by nature’s symphony. First there is the tremendous silence. Then the gentle introduction of birds singing in the trees, the rustle of roe deer, the rhythmic timpani of a woodpecker. The silence is a mask for nature’s overture.

Or take a picnic and spend the day on one of the Lake’s many beaches.

Our farm in the forest is one of the star attractions at Country Kids. Watch your toddlers as they gather eggs or have goats eating from the palms of their hands. They’ll make firm friends with the furry and feathery, as they help Farmer Syl feed the pigs, goats, rabbits, and chickens. And they’ll become immersed in learning about the nature all around them.
7. Tractor Rides and Farm Tours
It’s a short ride through beautiful countryside to one of our fields and an old patch of oak trees, banked by a dry-stone wall of limestone. There isn’t much that beats the thrill of bumping along on a tractor ride, and your kids will be jumping out of bed to be ready for Farmer Syl to ring his bell and shout ‘animals’ at 9:30 on the dot.
One thing is certain ─ our friendly old horse Apache and his donkey entourage will be there waiting for the kids every day for their breakfast.

Under the warming glow of the fading evening sun, set a picnic in fields of blooming flowers and verdant greenery. Enjoy a basket of local produce and home-cooked treats under an azure sky as you wallow in nature’s beauty. The perfect accompaniment to a sumptuous feast.
